This is another still-life painting by Abraham Mignon and considered a ‘pendant’ of item #70 [1]; see also the notes mentioned there for details about this painter. The oil-painting in now in the Koninklijke Musea voor Schone Kunsten, Brussels (Belgium) [2].


On this painting in the lower right-hand corner, a snail and an empty shell can be seen. Both are dextral. The snail is naturalistically painted.

Despite a request for a detail of the lower-right corner I didn’t receive an answer from the museum.
