Only a black and white version is currently available of this manuscript in the Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris. It is entitled as “Anciennes chroniques d’Angleterre”; the author of the text is supposedly Jean de Wavrin (1400?–1474?). This work was issued is several volumes [1, 2].

On folio 9r, in the lower border, a stylised snail is included in the illumination. The shell is sinistral, the head of the animal is upright (in an unnatural pose), with two large and two small tentacles.
