This is another oil painting from the collection of the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Bordeaux; made by an anonymous painter in the 19th century, it is entitled “Nature mort aux raisins” .
The snail is here seen in a dorsal view, half from the side; the dextral shell seen in top view, with an inflated last whorl and a spiral band in the colour pattern. The animal has all tentacles shown. Possibly this snail was modelled after a Helix-like species.
