“Perle von Brabant: Anbetung der Könige” (also known as Adoration of the Magi) is the title of this oil painting on oak wood in the Alte Pinakothek in Munich. It is now attributed to Dieric Bouts the Elder and dated ca. 1465 [1]. This painting originated in Leuven. A reddish-brown slug is seen on a stone wall in the lower-right foreground.

This slug is probably Arion cf. rufus (L., 1758), and is naturalistally illustrated.
