“Passion performance in a frame with birds and snails” is the title of this engraving in the collection of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. It was made by an anonymous artist, probably in Germany, during the 17th century [1].

In the upper border two snails are present. The left one is a shell only, the right one is with the animal stretching out. Both are some stylistic, and dextral specimens.
