Pailhac is a very small village in the Dept. Midi-Pyrénées, southern France. According to its site “Pailhac n’a pas d’histoire! En est-il moins heureux??? [Pailhac doesn’t have a history, does that make them less happy?]” [1]. Whether this is true or not, no clarification is given why there is a snail in their coat of arms…
